Just Fame is today sharing an exclusive piece of news about Zachary Campos. The artist is all set to release his new single Pain which is part of his album The Prophet.
The Prophet is an indie rock opera about a prophet named Jeremiah who is sent to modern day San Francisco by God in an effort to warn the people of the impending apocalypse. When Jeremiah arrives in SF, he is led astray to the beach by a siren singing which, in all actuality, turns out to be a temptress. Even though he is not supposed to, Jeremiah defies his prophecy and falls deeply in love with her. They begin an intense relationship that quickly becomes heavily destructive. Jeremiah laments his obsession with the temptress and his fear that if he doesn’t escape the relationship, he will die. When the temptress’s family discover the nature of the relationship, God sends Jeremiah to solitary confinement where he cannot be let out until he realizes his true purpose and why he was sent to SF in the first place. After reflecting on the relationship, Jeremiah decides to pray. He confronts his past and realizes that his true purpose is to help others. In order to do that, he must let the temptress go. He does not want to because she is the love of his life, but he realizes that they are not good for each other. The cycle ends with them. With sorrow in his heart, Jeremiah decides to let the temptress go. The album ends on a hopeful note, signifying that Jeremiah is ready to accept peace within himself.
“The story of ‘The Prophet’ is a metaphor for the relationship I just got out of. I am Jeremiah in this story. The relationship I was in became destructive and I figured the best decision was to leave. The Prophet is a story about love, heartbreak, abuse, purpose, and faith.” – Zachary.
“Pain” represents the point of the story where the relationship begins. Jeremiah starts to notice red flags but waves them off due to the temptress’s physical beauty.
All of the song titles are named after chapters from ‘The Prophet’ by Khalil Gibran, while the album art is in reference to Me Against The World by 2Pac.
