I’ve always loved the feeling of becoming a true fan of a Music Producer you’ve just started listening to. This feeling comes at different points, whether it be after the first song you hear from a new artist or the tenth! I was fortunate enough to recently come across a Music Producer by the name of “DJ Malakai.”
Born and raised in Houston, Texas this up-and-coming producer is an artist that differs from everything I’ve known about new artists over my previous years of experience. He makes a variety of music from Hip Hop, Reggae, R&B, to Pop. DJ Malakai has always had a love for music his first preference being to make Hip Hop tracks. DJ Malakai’s latest release embodies just that “TBTV2” (The Beat Tape Volume 2) features Artists and musicians from all over the globe, displaying his wide range of versatility and knack for discovering talent. With producing recent tracks such as “So Simple”, featuring Cwilltooill and “La Bamba”, featuring Tommy Smiley, “Rootz Dr”, featuring Souljah Girl and “Lockdown” featuring Lambo Go. DJ Malakai’s talent is only beginning to shine through.
The compilation album titled “The Beat Tape Vol. 2 ” is currently on all streaming platforms. With joint albums slotted for release in a “few months” DJ Malakai plans on his music taking the world by storm.
All in all, DJ Malakai is a music producer whose name might not be fully recognized now, but trust me, it will be in the future.
