The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue has long been seen as a supermodel maker. The magazine’s dynamite annual swimsuit issue features beautiful and powerful supermodels, top athletes, and of course it’s annual “Rookies”. A global name and priceless brand in the media world, and equally high esteemed in the modeling world – Kim Kardashian recently said that being featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue was a bucket list experience for her.
International MAXIM model, luxury swimsuit designer model muse, and Victoria’s Secret model Mischaela Elkins recently had her own bucket list moment when the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and the Swimfluence Network shared her as a featured model for June 2022. The 33 year old model has been modeling since age 19, when she completed model development and made her debut.
Mischaela has been on hand in both Hollywood and Miami for Sports Illustrated Swim red carpets and festivities to celebrate the launch of the 2022 issue and unveil the talented cover models, which included none other than Kim Kardashian, and the Pay with Change initiative. Mingling with fellow models Cindy Kimberly, Josephine Skriver, and Jasmine Saunders – Mischaela posed for photo ops with brands like Maybelline and Celsius.
The Pay with Change initiative was piloted by Sports Illustrated Swimsuit as a brand and is something Mischaela is 100% behind as a model. The initiative is one in which the formidable media company has decided to only work with brands and advertisers that drive change for women on the basis of gender equality, representation, and inclusiveness.
Mischaela shared that her key reason for aligning with SI Swim has been their shared vision for the type of world they want to live in. It has been her career long goal to make the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and join the short list of supermodels who appear in the hallowed magazine’s pages.
