Steve Williams Releases Album ‘Surrey Road’

Surrey Road is the culmination of over 20 years of songwriting and came from Steve’s desire to do an album of his own songs with various great singers that he knew or had worked with previously.

Just Fame is today sharing an exclusive piece of news about artist Steve Williams! He has released his new album titled Surrey Road. It comprises tracks titled Addiction, Colours, What you said, Misreading and many more riveting songs.

The album is currently streaming on Spotify.

The songs also feature guest vocals from Pat Powell (Melbourne Ska Orchestra and many more) and other well-known vocalists such as Terry Slesser(UK), John Kenny (Rockmelons), Vince Contarino, Tim Watson(Taxiride) and Louise Person as well upcoming Melbourne singer Nic MC.

The songs were co-written with a host of writers including Mark Gable (Choriboys), Scott Smith and many of the singers above.

About the artist: Steve Williams came to prominence as the lead guitarist in the 80’s pop group Wa Wa Nee, who had top 5 hits and ARIA Nominations in Australia and chart action in Europe and the USA. Following WaWa Nee’s breakup, Steve worked with prominent local artists, James Freud and Richard Clapton, before relocating to Europe. In London, Steve built a successful career as a session guitarist working with Jon Lord from DeepPurple, Ray Parker Jr, Real Life and many more. He returned to Australia in 2005and continued session and production work including musical theatre and television appearances playing with TheChoir Boys, Matt Finish and others.

About the album: Surrey Road is the culmination of over 20 years of songwriting and came from Steve’s desire to do an album of his own songs with various great singers that he knew or had worked with previously. Shelter Me was written by Steve with Pat Powell and features the smooth vocals of young up-and-coming Melbourne singer, Nic MC. Many of the other songs on the album are sung by Pat, lending his legendary voice to the mix. Steve has co-written a number of other tracks on the album with Pat. Steve played all instruments on the album himself, other than guest appearances by VictorRoundson bass and JohnPrior on drums on selected tracks.
